Shubb C6b Dobro Capo

Unlike other Dobro* capos that only attach to the strings, the Shubb capo clamps securely onto the neck, delivering optimal tone and performance. It uses the same patented locking mechanism as Shubb’s guitar capo and adjusts by anchoring at the fret rather than by sight, making it quick and precise.

This is the best capo for resonator guitars, providing stable and accurate intonation, ideal for Hawaiian-style playing. Note: It is not intended for Weissenborn guitars with hollow necks, as their necks are both deeper and more delicate.

Does your instrument have higher action? Shubb’s standard Dobro capo includes a “dobro piece” (placed between the strings and the fretboard) that can be set to either 3/8" or 7/16". If your instrument requires an even higher action and needs a 1/2" “dobro piece,” it is available as an additional option. The rubber piece is also adjustable to ensure the best fit for your instrument.

*“Dobro” is a registered trademark of Gibson. This capo was developed in cooperation with Gibson to fit Dobro guitars. For a time, these capos were marketed with the Dobro logo by both Shubb and Gibson. However, in addition to Dobro guitars, this capo fits most guitars commonly known as dobros, or resonator guitars, provided they are set up for Hawaiian-style with high string action (3/8"–1/2" above the fretboard).
