Donner HUSH-X Natural is an electric travel guitar that's designed to be compact and lightweight, making it ideal for musicians on the move. Weighing just around 2 kilograms and taking up very little space when packed in its included gig bag, it's perfect for traveling by plane, train, bus, car, motorcycle, scooter, bike pretty much whatever you want - as well as its easy to use and store in cabins, trailers, RVs, boats and tents. This guitar fits wherever you want!

Despite its small size, the HUSH-X offers the same sound capabilities as a traditional electric guitar and can be customized to your playing style, just like a regular electric guitar. It can play "actively" for up to 50 hours on a battery, allowing you to enjoy electric guitar sounds through the included headphones anywhere you go. Alternatively, you can connect the HUSH-X to a standard guitar amplifier and play "passively" indefinitely.

Sound Options

The Donner HUSH-X offers the same features as a regular electric guitar. It has a humbucker pickup in the bridge position and a single-coil pickup in the neck position. You have a three-way pickup selector switch, along with volume and tone controls - just like on a regular electric guitar.

If you're using the HUSH-X as a dedicated travel guitar, you can choose to play with headphones connected to the guitar's built-in amplifier, giving you a fantastic electric guitar sound. In this situation, you must play in "active" mode, powered by a 9V battery, which can last for up to 50 hours.

When you reach your destination, you can choose to connect the HUSH-X to a standard guitar amplifier or an amplifier/multi-effects unit, just like you would with a traditional electric guitar - and for this purpose, you must set the HUSH-X to "passive" mode.

Ergonomics and Playability

The HUSH-X is lightweight and compact when packed in its gig bag. But when you unpack the guitar and start playing, you can choose to attach the included brackets, which give the HUSH-X roughly the same shape as a regular electric guitar. This means you can sit with it comfortably as you're used to. When you're done playing, you can easily remove the brackets again, and the HUSH-X is ready to be packed away in the bag or maybe placed in the overhead compartment above your airplane seat?

The headless design that makes the guitar so compact also means that you need to tune the guitar strings at the bridge. This is as easy as you're used to on a regular electric guitar and just a habit that needs to be changed. The guitar strings can be intonated as you're used to, and you can adjust the string height, also as you're used to. This can be done with the included tool, conveniently located in a small pocket on the back of the guitar where you'll also find the guitar battery.

The neck has a comfortable and smooth C-shape and it's progressively asymmetric, giving you the same feel as on a good electric guitar allowing you to play the guitar for hours.
